I went to a park that overlooks the downtown airport to shoot some pictures of airplanes landing and taking off. There was not many planes this day but I did make a new friend while I was there and took some pictures of him.
Was out deer hunting earlier this season with my nephew during the youth hunt. We were hunting in a one room cabin that set on the edge of a small field and was surrounded by the woods. The cabin had no heat or electricity or running water. The property owner calls it a cabin but I would call it an over-sized yet perfect ground deer stand.
After sitting in this cabin for the better part of the morning and not see anything come trough, it starts to get quite boring for a young lad who is not used to sitting still and being quiet. Even I was yawning and dozing off.
When suddenly the high light of our morning appeared before our eyes. While looking out the window we noticed a caterpillar crawling on the window sill. I grabbed my phone and recorded the following videos.
The wife and I have had many discussions over the years about adding to our family. The other day we made up our minds and decided to adopt. So today we introduce our newest member of our house hold.

Went fishing the other day on the little blue river. The fish were not biting so I snapped a few pictures.
This is the only fish I caught.
While we were visiting some friends in Oklahoma, we decided to take a tour of the Pensacola Dam. Just as the tour guide was going to take us inside the dam, we noticed this helicopter coming in for a landing.
Then after taking the tour and was heading back to our car we got to see the same helicopter take off. Sometimes timing is everything.
What a disappointing football season this is turning out to be. My Jayhawks just lost again, I thought for sure they would be better this year, compared to the season we had last year. I did not expect them to be contenders but I sure thought they would be better than this.
With new coach Charley Weiss, he came in and made many changes in personal in assistants and players, but so far it still looks just the same as last year. I know that this is supposed to be a rebuilding year, but rebuilding is very hard to watch.
Many critics have said that Charley doesn’t have what it takes to be a head coach. Just look at what he did at Notre Dame. I have always liked him as an offensive coordinator and still have hope he can change things for KU football.
Since this football season has turned out to be another losing season I am already and can’t help it looking ahead for the basketball season which is right around the corner.
I was at a park that overlooks the airport, when I noticed the Direct TV Blimp near the hangars. I knew instantly that it was here for the upcoming all star game being held at Royals Stadium (AKA) The- K.
I almost missed this helicopter flying over the blimp, it took flight before I realized it and barely caught this picture.
I snapped this picture of downtown while standing in between a tree and a house. I didnt realize when I took the picture that the tree and house were in the shot, but I still liked how it turned out.
